ITIN without mailing your passport

Questions founders ask

Do I need a visa to open an LLC?

No. A non-U.S. resident can own a Florida LLC without a visa. A visa matters if you plan to live or work in the U.S., which is a question for an immigration attorney.

Do I need to be in the U.S.?

No. We can form the company, get the EIN and handle most steps remotely. Opening a U.S. bank account may require a visit, depending on the bank.

What does my LLC have to file every year?

At least the Florida annual report (due May 1). A foreign-owned single-member LLC also files Form 5472 with a pro forma Form 1120. Depending on your activity, you may also have sales tax, payroll and income tax returns.

Does my LLC still need a FinCEN (BOI) report?

Under FinCEN’s current rule, companies formed in the U.S. are exempt from beneficial ownership (BOI) reporting. We confirm the rule when we set up your company, since it has changed several times.
